The Taiwanese American Outreach Association (TAOA) is a volunteer-driven, not-for-profit Taiwanese American organization registered in the State of Maryland on October 29, 2004. TAOA is dedicated to promoting interaction and integration of Taiwanese Americans with mainstream America, encouraging volunteerism, and fostering understanding of Taiwanese culture and heritage. The organization sponsors and manages the annual Taiwanese American Independence Day Parade (TAIDP), originally initiated in May 2002, as well as the TA Cross-Community Volunteer (TACV) Program. TAOA also participates in cross-community events such as the National Cherry Blossom Parade in Washington, D.C. and the Montgomery County Fair, alongside other cultural, educational, and charitable activities.
