The Taiwanese American Pen Club (TAPC) is a literary organization founded in 1998 by a group of Taiwanese Americans passionate about writing and the arts. The club connects Taiwanese American writers across the United States who are interested in promoting and preserving Taiwanese history and culture through literary work. Since 2004, TAPC has published an annual (later biennial) literary journal called ‘Taiwanese American Literature and Arts’ (台美文藝), covering poetry, prose, fiction, essays, and literary criticism. The club also organizes author talks, literary seminars, and writing competitions, and has participated in Greater Los Angeles Taiwan Heritage Week events. With over fifty members dispersed throughout the United States, TAPC works to elevate Taiwanese American cultural life and bring Taiwanese literature to an international stage.
