Taiwanese American Professionals Orange County (TAP-OC) is a chapter of the Taiwanese American Citizens League (TACL), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit run entirely by volunteers. Founded in January 2018, TAP-OC serves the Taiwanese American community in Orange County, California through social events, community service, cultural celebrations, and wellness activities. The chapter is inclusive, welcoming people of all cultures and backgrounds.

Role in the Community

  • TAP-OC is the Orange County chapter of Taiwanese American Professionals (TAP) 台美菁英協會, the national TACL-affiliated professional network documented in the TAH community record (TAP 台美菁英協會, 2014).
  • Sibling TAP chapters recorded in the same corpus: Boston (波士頓分會), Austin (奧斯丁(德州)分會), D.C. (華府分會); TAP chapters also run scholarship programs (e.g. 西雅圖台美菁英協會獎學金, 2015).
  • The chapter’s own community activities are held as a primary community record: 台美菁英協會橙縣分會的活動 (published 2019-01-24); the chapter is additionally listed in the TAH directory at TAP 台美菁英協會橙縣分會 (2017-11-20).
  • Co-organized the 聲援台灣參與WHA車隊遊行 in Orange County with 柑縣台美商會青商部 and FASCA/FSACA橙縣分會 (海外青年文化志工協會); the chapter was led by 會長楊婷恩 at the 2021-05-13 event, per the community-press record (南加州僑胞舉行車隊遊行聲援台灣參與WHA, 台灣司法正義網). The same motorcade format recurs in 2025 (2025 車隊遊行聲援台灣參與WHA), showing sustained WHA advocacy by the chapter.
