History & Community Role
- Founded in the 1980s by local Taiwanese Americans in the Cherry Hill area of southwest New Jersey (east of Philadelphia), where many Taiwanese American families were settled. (corpus record held as TAA 全美台灣同鄉會南澤西分會, published 2015-11-03, band B)
- Early activities combined fellowship events and softball tournaments with civic work: members engaged local Congressmen and government officials on issues beneficial to Taiwan; TAH classifies the chapter as a 政治社團 (political organization).
- Bilingual corpus account (EN/ZH) also mirrored in Our Journeys 356 and its English counterpart Our Journeys 356 (EN).
