Taiwanese Import and Export Association of America, Inc.

Identity Snapshot

  • English: Taiwanese Import and Export Association of America, Inc.
  • Chinese:
  • Era: Contemporary
  • Geography: Taiwanese American community
  • Core roles: Community organization (TAH directory)

The Taiwanese Import and Export Association of America is a business association founded by Taiwanese entrepreneurs in New York. The organization was informally active in the early 1980s before being formally established in 1991. It provides scholarships to encourage the children of Taiwanese Americans in their educational pursuits.

Role in the Community

  • The association is documented in the TAH story corpus as its own historical record, 美國台灣人進出口公會 (TAH record, 2016-10-14).

  • Its scholarship program is separately recorded in the corpus: 64. (TAH record, published 2016-05-31), corroborating the page’s claim that the association awards scholarships to Taiwanese American students.

  • Both records entered the corpus via the TAH organization/story directory; no memoir text names individual officers, so leadership details remain HOLD (not in corpus).

  • Re-verified 2026-09-25 (slices 09231200-31 and 09250500-30): fresh ZH+EN grep (美國台灣人進出口公會 / “Taiwanese Import and Export Association”) of works/ + articles/ returned only the two already-linked directory records plus the works index row; no memoir names individual officers — SKIP-with-reason, leadership stays HOLD.
