The Taiwanese American Conferences – West Coast (TAC-WC) is a nonprofit corporation formally incorporated in March 2017 to coordinate annual summer conferences for Taiwanese Americans living on the West Coast of the United States. The organization grew out of more than 30 years of informal TAC-WC conferences held across the region, with the formal organizational structure proposed by Ken S. Huang (黃根深) in 2012. TAC-WC is governed by a five-member Board of Directors representing regional chapters spanning Las Vegas/Salt Lake City, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco/Sacramento, and Seattle/Portland. The organization was in the process of applying for 501(c)(3) nonprofit status at the time of its founding announcement, and its inaugural conference as a formal corporation was scheduled for July 7–9, 2017 in the San Diego area.

  • 黃東昇（Edward Huang）第一手會史回忆（[[works/taiwaneseamericanhistory-org/ourjourneys352||TAH #352: History of TAC-WC, 03/2020，A-band]]）記載：第一屆美西台灣人夏令會於 1975 年 7 月在加州 Squaw Valley（Lake Tahoe）舉行，由北加州台灣同鄉聯合會（TAFNC）與協志會（TAI）共同主辦——將本組織會史向前推展至正式立案前四十二年。
  • 1999 年會後的十一年間僅 2003 年舉辦過一次；|Ken Huang（黃根深，2017 年逝世）持續力推復興，終於說服 NATPA 會長李學圖，於 2011 年 7 月與 NATPA 第 31 屆年會在 UC San Diego 合辦（由黃根深、洪珠美 Darice Lee 協調）；2012 年黃根深夫妇再於 UC Santa Barbara 獨力續辦，其後 San Jose（2013）、Seattle（2014）、Los Angeles（2015）、San Francisco（2016）各屆皆需艱難尋找當地主辦人。
