Role in the Community
- 2016: co-sponsored 美國南加州留學獎學金 with 美國殷勤文教公益基金會 — scholarship record [[works/taiwaneseamericanhistory-org/awards67|TAHS #67]]
- 2015: recorded in the TAHS charity-organizations directory — [[works/taiwaneseamericanhistory-org/charity-organizations-world-taiwan-foundation|TAHS #26, 2015-10-30]]
- 2015: sponsored the International Leadership Foundation (ILF) Civic Fellowship Program and related youth programs for Taiwanese American students (application via STUF endorsement, contact: Executive Director Yi-Miao Huang, info@stufunited.org) — ILF Civic Fellowship announcement. HOLD: 2015 record names ED Yi-Miao Huang vs 執行長 林鋕銘 in the 2025 record — treated as successive officers, not merged.
- 2025: launched the “UN Go!” program to train young Taiwan/US-second-generation students for internships at UN-affiliated NGO bodies; held a Times Square forum aligned with the UN High-Level Political Forum and invited former VP 陳建仁 to New York; executive director 林鋕銘 announced the global training plan (MOU-based university courses) at a NYC press conference — 台灣正義網 2025-03-28. Legal name in the record: STUF United Fund Inc. An earlier CNA/TJJ report of the same UN Go!/Times Square forum (forum date given as 2024-07-10, press conference 6-22) names 陳啟耕 as 副執行長兼發言人 and describes the two-way internship exchange (US students to Taiwan, Taiwan students to UN-affiliated NGOs in the US) — CNA 2024-06-22. HOLD: the same UN Go!/陳建仁 NYC forum is dated 2024 in this record vs 2025 in the 2025-03-28 record — not merged.
- 2017: featured in a TAHS eNewsletter record — eNewsletter: World Taiwan Foundation
- 2022-10-02 — 世台聯合基金會公益晚宴 attended by 陳建仁, framed in coverage as 國民外交 (“國民外交最好見”) — the foundation’s charity-dinner platform doubling as Taiwan-advocacy diplomacy (TJJ 2022-10-02 公益晚宴報導)
- Per NATWA’s memoir history, NATWA leaders (e.g. 程韻如) four times chaired FOTWA annual meetings held at 世台會 (World Taiwanese Congress) venues — see [[works/taiwaneseamericanhistory-org/ourjourneys60|Our Journeys #60 (NATWA史)]]; HOLD: 世台聯合基金會 (Foundation) vs 世界台灣人大會/WTC (Congress) are adjacent but distinct bodies — see WTC record
- Alias caution from the memoir corpus: most 世台會 hits in works/ refer to 世界台灣同鄉會聯合會 (WFTA), a third distinct body, not this Foundation. WFTA’s newsletter 台灣通訊 carried the 陳文成紀念基金會 fundraising notice ([[works/taiwaneseamericanhistory-org/ourjourneys321|Our Journeys #321]]); WFTA annual meetings were convened in Houston under president 郭榮桔 (1980) and president 陳唐山 (1982, ~300 attendees) and seeded the 美南台灣人夏令會 movement ([[works/taiwaneseamericanhistory-org/ourjourneys318|Our Journeys #318]]); the 1976 third WFTA annual meeting in Los Angeles first spread news of the 1975 Houston Taiwanese credit cooperative ([[works/taiwaneseamericanhistory-org/ourjourneys244|Our Journeys #244]]); 陳唐山 as 全美會 then 世台會 president was a frequent source for the movement press ([[works/taiwaneseamericanhistory-org/ourjourneys49|Our Journeys #49]]; publication record Taiwan Bulletin). HOLD: the abbreviation 世台會 spans three bodies (Foundation / WTC / WFTA) — not merged.
