Born in Tainan City, Taiwan, Ms. Lo grew up studying both piano and violin. At the age of 10, Ms. Lo discovered the wonderful sensation of playing in an orchestra, thus, inspired her to continue her journey as a violinist. She won her first competition at the age of 11 at her hometown Tainan, and was a semi-finalist at the National competition. In the spring of 1991, the Lo family immigrated to New York City, USA to pursue their American dream; Where Ms. Lo enrolled at the Pre-College Division of the Manhattan School of Music and continued her study of violin. A year later, her study also led her to the acceptance of the prestigious Fiorella H. LaGuardia High School for Music & Art and Performing Arts. In the spring of 1994, Ms. Lo won her first competition to solo with Manhattan pre-college orchestra performing Wieniawski Violin Concerto No. 2. From then, she continued to awe people with her sound and passion for music. Studying both at LaGuardia, and Manhattan School, Ms. Lo has developed love of playing for orchestra.
