  • Movement translator and collaborator of independence veteran Lu Ih-chu (盧主義, pen name 李天福): Liao translated Lu’s English commentary “The Formosans do Know What They Want” (published in The New Republic after the debate with KMT envoy 朱撫松) into Chinese as「評析五十年代國民黨殖民統治」, later collected in《自由的呼喚》(前衛社, 2000). Recounted in Lu’s band-A memoir: 2015-04.
