Role in the Community
- Shareholder in the Shogun (將軍) restaurant group run by Cheng S. Lee (李正三) in New Jersey’s Taiwanese American community. When the group expanded to Shogun 18 (opened 12/17/1985), 薛信夫 was among the 14 shareholders who joined as the business grew from Shogun 22; the memoir’s full roster names him alongside 李汝城、謝孟勳、張秋南、林忠勝、林長富、戴榮、徐福棟、鄭再榮、林為裕、彭永煜、沈新欽、板倉健二 and founder 李正三.
- Remembered in the group’s own memoir for a blunt diagnosis of its governance problems: at a shareholders’ meeting, West Windsor Mayor 薛信夫 remarked that with too many shareholders arguing, 「十嘴九尻川，做嘸代誌」 — a line the author called a piercing, to-the-point observation.

- Saturate-note (deepen-x slice 09211400-30, 2026-09-22): corpus re-grep (ZH 薛信夫 + EN Sheuh) matches only the two records above plus index listings; the 14-shareholder name roster from the Our Journeys 17 memoir is newly absorbed into the first bullet. Nothing further absorbable.
