With her husband 陳淮崇, compiled the “Greater Baltimore/Washington 台灣人名錄” in 1965 — working through the local phone book for plausible Chinese surnames and calling each household to ask whether they were Taiwanese — the organizing baseline for the Baltimore/Washington Taiwanese community.
Took part in the first Baltimore Taiwanese gathering at the lunar new year in 1966 (meal, Taiwanese folk songs, and a satirical skit directed by Mrs. William Crowley mocking the Chiang regime’s campus surveillance), the gathering that led to the 1967 Baltimore/Washington 台灣同鄉會, in which 陳淮崇 was the first president.
The family later lived in Houston and Princeton (where 陳淮崇 helped found the 1970 Houston and 1973 New Jersey 同鄉會) before retiring to Reno, Nevada.
