Role in the Community
- Documented twice in the TAH Foundation encyclopedia’s 2015/06 Taiwanese-American classical-musician batch: [[works/taiwaneseamericanhistory-org/224-keng-yuen-tseng-e6-9b-be-e8-80-bf-e5-85-83-201506|TAH #224 “Keng-Yuen Tseng 曾耿元, Violinist”]] and [[works/taiwaneseamericanhistory-org/464-keng-yuen-tseng-e6-9b-be-e8-80-bf-e5-85-83-201506|TAH #464]].
- That batch records him alongside the community’s other young classical musicians of the period — tenor/conductor Jin Song Chen 陳金松, violinists Yu-Chia Hsiao 蕭宇家 and Chi-Yin Chen 陳姿吟, pianist Stephanie Wan-Hsiu Lan 藍婉修 — situating him in the Taiwanese-American musical network the encyclopedia set out to document.
- Within that network he served as a bridge to mainstream American institutions: chair of the strings department at the Johns Hopkins Peabody Conservatory (約翰霍普金斯大學琵琶地音樂學院 弦樂系主任), a position also cited on fellow musician pages such as Anny Yun-An 陳韻安, whose Peabody Conservatory 伴奏助教 post overlaps his tenure there.
