- 女高音。林衡哲回憶：他在美東台灣人夏令營聽到林淨媺與小提琴家吳上峰（吳上峰）演出後，立刻邀請兩人到西部演出。她以西方咏嘆調方式唱台灣民謠，「使台灣民謠聽起來像世界名曲」，吳上峰伴奏相得益彰。該場台灣文化之夜約 500 人出席，地點在 La Mirada 的假日旅館，同場有台北基督教聯合兒童合唱團客串（TUF 總幹事王古勳帶病居功）。出自 南加州台灣人聯合基金會（TUF）誔生、回顧與展望（林衡哲，1986-1996）。
