早年畢業於國立台灣藝術專科學校, 後留學日本大学, 專攻電影導演。1974年定居於紐約, 成為專業画家。擅長使用不透明的水彩画技法, 常以紐約市的冬景為其創作的題材, 而蜚聲於紐約画壇。曾是美國水彩画協會、沙瑪冠帝美術中心( Salmagundi Art Club)之中堅會員, 屢獲奬項, 備受敬重, 亚深獲收藏家的喜愛。
