  • 1990 U.S. Census campaign. A founding work-committee member (one of 19) of the Joint Committee of Taiwanese American for 1990 U.S. Census, formed 1987 in Los Angeles; the committee’s headquarters was in the TACL office and its members lobbied the Census Bureau’s minority advisory committee and Congress (Our Journeys 253).

  • 會長, 全美台灣同鄉會, 1990. As the LA-based 會長 of 全美台灣同鄉會 (term listed 1989-01-01 to 1990-12-31 in the movement compendium), he hosted the census campaign’s joint staff meetings twice — on 2/25 and 3/11 — at his own Hilton hotel, with roughly 17–18 attendees each (Our Journeys 253, Our Journeys 76 (EN)).
