Performance & Teaching Career (deepened 2026-09-10, vault-internal)

Absorbed from this page’s TAH encyclopedia entries (#234, #125) and the TAH tables above:

  • English performance name: Helena Wei (per TAH encyclopedia entry #125 title, “Helena Wei 魏良夙, Pianist”).
  • Degrees: B. Mus., University of Toronto; post-graduate Piano Performance degrees from the University of British Columbia and the University of Southern California; A.R.C.T., Royal Conservatory of Music (Toronto).
  • Touring soloist, chamber musician, and lecturer across North America and Asia; staff accompanist at the University of Western Ontario; engagements with the Stockton Symphony, Cantabella Children’s Chorus, Sycamore Strings, and Musical Performance and Communications (sponsored by Arts Council Canada).
  • Previously professor of music at the University of the Pacific (USA) and Tunghai University (Taiwan); now piano staff at the Greene Yamaha Music Education Center, San Diego.
  • Board, selection committee, Del Valle Fine Arts; 25+ years of teaching, coaching, and adjudicating from beginner to advanced performing-artist level.
  • Noted discrepancy between the narrative and the Education table (both from the same TAH profile, held verbatim): narrative says B. Mus. (University of Toronto) while the table records 多倫多大學 B.A.鋼琴演奏; narrative says post-graduate degrees from UBC/USC while the table records 英屬哥倫比亞大學 B.S.音樂碩士 and 南加大 音樂博士研究士 (doctoral studies). Left unresolved pending source verification — do not auto-merge.
