生於台灣台北，五歲開始跟隨陳泗治老師學習鋼琴。台大化學系畢業後曾於台北中山堂舉行個人獨奏會。留美繼續研究化學，從麻州克拉克大學獲化學博士學位;其後則進行研究工作，曾獲得四個美國專利。1990年信主受洗，現經常參與教會音樂事工及合唱團，聖歌隊伴奏或獨奏及三、四重奏等表演。
