林雅玲出生於台灣高雄縣，六歲開始學習鋼琴，八歲於高雄鋼琴比賽獲獎，1984赴美與Richard Amend學習管風琴演奏，曾擔任學校樂隊、教會與合唱團伴奏，多年教授鋼琴與鍵盤團體班，2008年起擔任大紐約台灣同鄉會鋼琴伴奏與助理指揮。林老師平日熱心服務於主流及台美人社團，是前任大紐約台灣同鄉會會長。
