  • 1969 — founded in Boston, initiated by 張啟典 (Chi-Tien Chang): per band-A memoir 2018, 張啟典 grew up in 艋舺長老教會 and, in his third year of graduate study in the U.S., 發起創立「波士頓台灣基督教會」.

  • 1970 — 張啟典 travelled to Downington, Pennsylvania for the 第1屆美東基督徒台語夏令會 initiated by 歐炯雄 in Philadelphia, becoming one of the founding members of the 美東台灣人夏令會 lineage.
