The Global Hakka UN NGO Applying Committee (協進會) was established on August 16, 2014, during the Global Taiwanese Hakka Kinship Assembly held in Paris by the France Taiwan Hakka Association. Its primary purpose is to encourage and coordinate Hakka community organizations worldwide in applying for UN NGO consultative status, in order to promote the sustainable development of Hakka culture and counter the suppression of Taiwan’s international participation by the People’s Republic of China. The committee provides a platform for member organizations to share application experiences, exchange information, and coordinate strategies for engaging in United Nations NGO activities. Leadership includes a Chairperson from the World Taiwanese Hakka Federation, vice-chairs representing Hakka federations in the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Africa, and an Executive Director responsible for administrative affairs and UN NGO application support. Directory description remains the sole absorbed source. Hakka-network links re-verified against the vault (世界台灣客家會, Southern California Hakka associations, HAPA-NA, Hakka Foundation): all resolve. The France Taiwan Hakka Association and the World Hakka Kinship Assembly have no vault pages, so they stay plain text. No new vault facts.

Deepen-x 2026-09-14 (slice 09141300-9, corpus grep)

SKIP-with-reason: corpus grep for 世界客家社團加入 / “HAKKA UN NGO” over works+articles returns only its own record [[works/taiwaneseamericanhistory-org/global-hakka-un-ngo-applying-committee|TAH #44]] (already linked above) and the works index. Other 協進會 hits in the corpus (e.g. [[works/taiwaneseamericanhistory-org/taf-summer-conference|TAH #7 台美協進會夏令營]], [[works/taiwaneseamericanhistory-org/ourjourneys266|Our Journeys #266 台灣協進會]]) name different bodies — the Taiwanese American Federation and a 台灣協進會, not this Hakka committee — and are not absorbable here. Directory description remains the sole source.
