The Northern California Taiwanese Medical Association (NCTMA) is a nonprofit public-interest organization founded in 1986 by two San Francisco-based Taiwanese American physicians, Dr. Ruijhen Song and Dr. Qiyi Chen, along with other medical professionals in Northern California. The association was established to provide a platform for Taiwanese medical professionals abroad to exchange ideas and share professional knowledge, as well as to offer medical services to the local community. In 2000, the northern and southern chapters merged to form the current NCTMA. Membership includes physicians, dentists, and other medical researchers, ranging from newly graduated medical professionals to senior practitioners. The association regularly organizes social and professional activities that support its members and contribute to its continued growth.
