Disambiguation (checked against corpus, not absorbed): in the FAPA founding memoir (Our Journeys 65, oj65 中文版) the acronym “TAPA” was the briefly-proposed 1985 proto-name of FAPA (Taiwanese Association for Public Affairs) — unrelated to Austin TAP. Austin’s older community association, the TAA regional chapter Austin Taiwanese Association, is a distinct organization with its own corpus records (newsletter of ATA, ATA T-shirt).
