The North America Taiwanese Students’ Association (TSA-NA) is a non-profit organization originally founded in 1983 and legally registered in North Carolina, serving Taiwanese students across North America. After years of inactivity, it was reestablished in 2008 through the efforts of enthusiastic founders and local Taiwanese community members, with Chung-ping Wang of UNC MBA elected as the new president. The organization serves the more than 20,000 Taiwanese students who come to the U.S. each year, primarily in graduate programs, and seeks to support their integration into American society. TSA-NA focuses on developing teamwork, leadership, and entrepreneurship skills among Taiwanese students, and works to increase the international visibility of Taiwanese students participating in competitions and public events. It aims to strengthen self-identity and community solidarity among Taiwanese students in the diaspora.
