Overview

TAH’s Who’s Who card (updated 19 June 2026) is a directory record, not a full biography. It places her birth in Keelung, a B.S. in music at 台灣師範大學, an M.S. at the Hartt School of Music, and a stack of conducting posts in Taiwan and the United States. Family fields on that card are empty (Husband/Daughter/Son: -). First US city/year is also -.

The Tyzen Hsiao literature is the named US–Taiwan concert link: she conducted Hsiao’s Ilha Formosa requiem and the 2007 Formosa Dreaming program.

Conducting posts (TAH table)

Do not flatten these into one “Missouri symphony” or invent dates TAH left blank.

Tyzen Hsiao / Ilha Formosa

On |Tyzen Hsiao’s page (EN Wikipedia / Ilha Formosa article):

  • Apo Hsu conducts the NTNU Symphony Orchestra and Formosa Festival Choir in Hsiao’s Ilha Formosa: Requiem for Formosa’s Martyrs.
  • 2007 Formosa Dreaming — concert of works for orchestra and voices by Hsiao and Fan-Long Ko (柯芳隆). US tour after a sendoff at Taipei 中山堂 (the hall of Hsiao’s first 蕭泰然樂展, 1975). EN Wikipedia video note: DVD, concert 9 September 2007, Apo Ching-Hsin Hsu conducting NTNU Symphony + Formosa Festival Chorus.

柯芳隆 has no Echopedia person page yet — do not invent a slug.

Later cite (not a TAH bio)

A 2022-08-11 中央社 piece republished on taiwanjustice.net, on conductor 林韡函, says:

  • 林韡函 becomes a US music director after 許瀞心 and 陳美安.
  • At NTNU he began studying conducting with 指揮家許瀞心.

That is a student/successor mention, not a second biography. 林韡函 / 陳美安 have no Echopedia person pages yet.

Do not merge TAH’s 春田市 (Springfield, Missouri) post with 林韡函’s later Missouri Symphony / Columbia, Missouri job — different orchestras.
