Role in the Community

  • Profiled in the TAH Foundation Who’s Who encyclopedia as record #2099: 2099. Deborah Ma 馬佳美醫師.
  • Health-education lectures at the Irvine Taiwanese Presbyterian Church (爾灣台灣基督長老教會) — “Muscle strength training for seniors” (Dr. 馬佳美), in the church’s Retirement & Lifestyle lecture series alongside Dr. 黃勝雄 (healthy aging / a long, fruitful life), Dr. 朱耀源 (the golden years), Prof. 胡宏仁 and others. This is the community-facing side of her TAH press-kit entry: not a US-licensed MD (her credential is Oriental Medicine & Acupuncture, per tah-tables), she served the Orange County Taiwanese immigrant/retiree community as a health lecturer through the church. See Irvine Taiwanese Presbyterian Church (ITPC).
  • No other corpus mentions; the corpus “Deborah” hit in a 2025 taiwanjustice.net article refers to a UK drug dealer (Deborah Mason), not this person — not absorbed.
  • Re-verified 2026-09-21 (deepen-x slice 09201503-24): fresh corpus grep returns only her encyclopedia record, the works index, and the Deborah Mason false positive — no memoir material to absorb.
  • Re-verified 2026-10-01 (deepen-x slice 09261300-27): whole-vault grep of 馬佳美|Deborah Ma returns 7 files — her own page, her own TAH record whos-who-2099, works/index, people/index, the taiwaneseamericanhistory-org source hub, the ITPC org page, and the taiwanjustice.net article. The ITPC hit is genuine and already absorbed above: her lecture sits in the Retirement & Lifestyle series on the ITPC page (the sibling 長青教室 / Senior Class is ITPC’s separate flagship lecture program), cross-checked against the same list’s 林郁子 (retirement planning) and 蔡世樺 (priestly life) entries — three real, sourced lecture credits, so her community-facing role is corpus-confirmed, not press-kit only. The taiwanjustice.net hit stays excluded — it is Deborah Mason, a UK drug dealer, a romanisation collision, not this person. Deepened in a prior wave, re-verified now; no new material to absorb.
