From the record

  • Founding chapter president — recorded as president of the Washington D.C. chapter, one of the 28 founding chapters of the Taiwanese Association of America (全美台灣同鄉會), in the movement’s own founding history (全美會成立史 / English version). Consistent with organizing the D.C. Area Taiwanese Association independently from Baltimore in 1972.
  • DC-area Taiwanese physician community — 陳淮崇’s memoir recalls him (耳鼻喉科的陳哲仁) alongside anesthesiologists 黃際鑫 and 林進新 and NIH researchers 楊基焜, 林明璋, 黃泰郎 and 黃崑巖 as part of the young Taiwanese pioneer community around Washington D.C. in the early 1970s ( 陳淮崇).
  • First private practice of his generation in the capital area — the corpus preserves two contemporaneous records of his clinic: 1965, “the first private clinic in D.C. Area” (58), and Jan 1967, the ENT practice at “Camp Spring” (Silver Spring), Maryland (309). The 1965 date matches his Employment table (private ENT clinic from 1965-03).
  • His own reminiscence “Physician with Four Different Cultures” (02/2016) is held at 403 and his 2015 profile at 474; family-life photos with 蕭永真 at 111.
