Identity Snapshot

  • English (as listed): National Taipei University of Technology Alumni Association
  • Relation: Taiwan Center group member (official listing)

Role in the Community

  • The association (台北工專／台北科技大學美國南加州區校友會) has its own record in the TAH Foundation story corpus: 台北科技大學美國南加州區校友會 (2017-03-30, band B). This corroborates the Taiwan Center group-members listing with an independent community-held record.

  • Context from movement memoirs: 台北工專 appears as a formative institution in Taiwanese American movement lives — e.g. 楊宗昌 (Taipei工專土木工程科, later 29-year central committee member of the UFAI 台灣獨立聯盟) studied there before moving to the U.S. in 1962; see 33. 一家人做伙來打拼／張炎憲. A second corpus memoir names 王文隆 (b. 1944, 宜蘭), 台北工專五年制畢業 then MIT 核子工程博士, then Bell Labs in Chicago — see 256. 寫在畫展之前／黃根深, 2016-10-10. (Alumni-association membership of such individuals is not asserted by the corpus.)

  • Absorbed 2026-09-23 (deepen-x slice 09221200-7), two further memoir records naming 台北工專 as a formative institution: 卓甫良 (TAf story, recalled 2021 — 1950 考取第一屆台北工專土木科, 兩年後畢業、進基隆港務局, 後赴美) — 楊遠薰〈卓甫良與TAf的故事〉, TJJ 2021-12-05; and 王泰和 (人權鬥士悼文 — 建國中學後台北工專畢業, 任教淡水工商管理專科, 後入 Kansas State University) — 〈化作千風——懷念台美人的人權鬥士、台獨先鋒王泰和〉, TJJ 2025-08-11. Both are institutional-context mentions only; neither asserts membership in this alumni association.

  • Absorbed 2026-09-24 (deepen-x slice 09230600-3), one further corpus record placing a 北科大 alumnus inside the Southern California Taiwanese community: the 大洛杉磯台灣會館 生活座談 (美國留學及求職經驗, 2021-05-07) was hosted by Michael C.Y. Lin — 國立台北科技大學都市設計碩士及建築學士, 南加州大學政策博士, Milken Institute 都市經濟學家, 台灣青年美國職涯發展協會會長 — i.e. a 台北科技大學 alumnus active as a 會館 speaker in the same LA community orbit as this association (TJJ 會館生活座談六報導, 2021-06-16). Institutional/personal context only; the corpus does not assert his membership in this alumni association.

  • Content priority C: Independent history not expanded from listing alone

Corpus re-check 2026-09-22 (deepen-x slice 09210700-29): fresh grep of works/ and articles/ — hit set unchanged, all hits already wikilinked with facts absorbed. SKIP-deepen; nothing new absorbable.

Corpus re-check 2026-09-22 (deepen-x slice 09220400-26): fresh grep returns the previously absorbed records plus two press articles (Vítedčí 訪台報導, 2026-01-18 — 布拉格化工大學與台北科技大學簽署合作備忘錄; 2020 大選報導, 2026-01-15 — 台北科技大學兼課教師爭議). Both concern the Taipei campus itself, not the US alumni association — no absorbable association facts. SKIP-deepen.
