NTPC — National Taiwanese Presbyterian Council (not New Taipei City)
National Taiwanese Presbyterian Council is an overloaded acronym. Do not flatten:
| Initials used as… | Spell-out | Page |
|---|---|---|
| NTPC (church) | National Taiwanese Presbyterian Council · 美國基督長老教會全國台灣人教會聯合會 | National Taiwanese Presbyterian Council] |
| NTPC (city) | New Taipei City · 新北市 | civic — not a church |
| PCT 北部大會 | Presbyterian Church in Taiwan, Northern Synod | Presbyterian Church in Taiwan] — do not call this NTPC |
This slug used to say “North Taiwan Presbyterian Church (NTPC)” and pointed at the US council. That merge is wrong.
Identity Snapshot
- Type: disambiguation
- Do not flatten: US council ≠ 新北市 ≠ PCT 北部大會
Corpus records
The story corpus carries two tahs.org records for the church council (not the city):
- National Taiwanese Presbyterian Council 全美台灣人教會聯合會 (2017-02-20, band B)
- NTPC, Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) 美國基督長老教會全國台灣人教會聯合會 (2016-05-12, band B)
HOLD: the two corpus records render the Chinese name differently (全美台灣人教會聯合會 vs 美國基督長老教會全國台灣人教會聯合會); the bylaw-sanctioned form is on the council page.
Full page: |National Taiwanese Presbyterian Council.
Corpus re-verified 2026-09-25 (deepen-x slice 09250600-26): grep returns only the two tahs.org records already linked above plus the index row; no new memoir coverage; ZH-name HOLD stands.
Corpus re-verified 2026-10-01 (deepen-x slice 09261200-13): -E grep (NTPC|全美台灣人教會聯合會|美國基督長老教會全國台灣人教會聯合會) over content/works + content/articles returns only the two tahs.org records linked above, the works index, and an unrelated 陳其邁勝選 tag file under articles/taiwanjustice-net/ (city-sense noise, not council coverage). No new corpus coverage; ZH-name HOLD stands.
Corpus re-verified 2026-10-06 (deepen-x slice 10051143-6): same grep over all five corpus dirs adds two source pages — |NTPC USA (official-site source dossier, links to the council primary) and |Toward a Community of Hope (2025 NTPC co-republication mention). Both point at the council primary page, not this disambiguation slug; no new memoir coverage; ZH-name HOLD stands.
Corpus re-verified 2026-10-07 (deepen-x slice 10060900-4): same -E grep (NTPC|全美台灣人教會聯合會|美國基督長老教會全國台灣人教會聯合會) across all five corpus dirs returns only the two tahs.org records linked above, the works index, the two source dossiers (NTPC USA, Toward a Community of Hope — both pointing at the council primary, not this slug), and city-sense noise (陳其邁勝選 tag file under articles/taiwanjustice-net/). No new memoir coverage; ZH-name HOLD stands.
Corpus re-verified 2026-10-09 (deepen-x slice 10071520-3): same -E grep across all five corpus dirs returns the identical hit set — works index, city-sense tag file (articles/taiwanjustice-net/陳其邁勝選), and the two source dossiers (NTPC USA, Toward a Community of Hope), both pointing at the council primary. No new memoir coverage; verified saturated; ZH-name HOLD stands.
