  • In 《台名人菁英錄》第二輯 (May 2023, p. 108), 白偉瑋, together with 黃樹人 (Freeman Huang), conducted the oral-history interview of 謝泊欣 (Rosalyne Shieh) — architect and architecture professor at |MIT, daughter of |謝清志博士. Edda Huang compiled and edited the piece; photos provided by 謝清志 and 謝泊欣.
  • Interview scope (absorbed from the archive text, p. 108): the interview covered 謝泊欣’s method of treating 社會、人文、歷史 and 建築 as one whole — 祖厝 spatial/social structure (神位, 灶腳, son/daughter placement), her father 謝清志’s own oral testimony, 1940s–50s rural hygiene and folk-medicine practice, the family’s 台南鄉下→高雄 migration for a doctor, and a critique of the foreign-architect new 高雄火車站 vs. the old station’s usefulness.

Identity verification (updated 2026-10-03 — gender CONFIRMED female by owner → identity now LIKELY, not confirmed)

Owner confirmation: TAHS VP 白偉瑋 is female. That deletes my earlier “gender mismatch” argument — every 新雨/楊惠南 source calls 白偉瑋 張大卿的內人 (his wife), so the 新雨 writer and the TAHS VP are both female; no conflict there. Three markers still block a merge:

  1. Two 40-yr biographies exist, both from PDF-derived text — the 2023 book and the 2025 yearbook (each held in the vault as a PDF snapshot, not .md — the only exception is the 1990 Taiwan Chronicle, also a PDF). A name that survives only in uncorrected OCR — one source page even truncates it (「…先生和美国白」) and corrupts another member’s name (杨…满 ← 楊平猷) — cannot outvote a chart that spells 白偉瑋 in full twice (2023 + 2025). Treat the 1956/台南/LA護士 trio as one unverified page, not two sources. Note: the TPE/LA exhibit-list names (陳愛玲, 游二娜, 陳美妹 / 黃樹人, 楊順欽, 洪瑞珍, 陳韫齡, 蔡婉芬) contain no 白偉瑋 — that list neither links nor separates the two records; do not cite it as evidence either way.

2025 TAHS yearbook (published 2026-05-14, verified from its own file; 420 pp, 46,902 lines): TAHS officers — 會長 許景鴻, 副会长 白偉瑋 (no other 白), 理事 陳愛玲, 秘書 黃樹人. 陳愛玲 = separate person (台大歷史系; 1949生, 高雄; TAHS 理事 + 台美人會 顧問; the 台獨妈祖 oral-history book = her subject, not her authorship). 2023 book (per the vault’s own copy of the source) — the 謝泊欣 profile’s by-line is 「白偉瑋、黃樹人採訪, Edda黃整理, 黃樹人改寫編輯」 (p.108, inside the 謝泊欣/謝清志 family profile, not the 范清良 profile as earlier stated) and the same 採訪/整理/改寫 pattern recurs at p.116 and p.175, where 黃樹人 is listed as 採訪 alongside the subject’s family — which is what separates him from the 白/陳 interviewers below. 白偉瑋 also appears as a TAHS 會員 in the p.175 陳愛玲 profile (「陳愛玲三人都是台美人歷史協會會員」→ p.175 lists 游朝子、游二娜、陳愛玲 as members; 陳愛玲 = 理事/顧問, a different person).

No source file in the vault states 白偉瑋’s gender — the 新雨 side reads 「為張大卿老师的内人」(his wife) and nothing in the yearbook or the two books calls her 张大卿的太太, and no 白 appears in the 2017 or 2023 books’ 台美人历史协会 member lines (17/45), while 台美人历史协会 itself is listed as one of the 台美人會 member orgs — which is where my earlier “TAHS 理事 + TAHS VP” chain came from; retracted as unverifiable (it came from the org page, and the org page is a wiki page, not a source chart). Until identity is settled, do NOT put on this page: 1956生, 台南, LA護士 (these come from one unverified PDF list), any husband/family relation, and “牧師夫人” (supported nowhere — 陳愛玲 is the pastor’s wife, a different person).

If confirmed as the SAME person (then re-verify each item against a 台美人/TAHS-scope source): TPE-era writer/interviewer (1987–94) → TAHS member since ~2005 + 台美人歷史協會 理事 + 台美人會 顧問 (2023 book) → TAHS 副會長 (2025 org chart; TAHS 2025 yearbook — 台美人歷史協會 = 副會長, TAHS 理事 + 台美人會 顧問) → 2025 副会长 → 楊正光 訪談主持 2018 → 謝泊欣 採訪 2023 (with 黃樹人).
