Role in the Community

  • Her TAH Foundation encyclopedia entry is preserved as a work page: 2161. Peggy Cooley 邱碧玉 (TAH Who’s Who, 2018-10-07).

  • Married into the family of 蕭清芬, the PCT pastor/educator who served at Tainan Theological College and Seminary; the family lived in Tainan during her husband’s service there, tying her to the PCT elder-pastor community of southern Taiwan.

  • At daughter 蕭美琴’s 2024-05-20 就職典禮, reporting noted that although she is a U.S. citizen, she speaks fluent 台語 and was described by relatives as 「比台灣人更像台灣人」— a marker of deep insertion into the local church-and-community milieu (TJJ 轉載中央社).

  • 2026-10-10（slice 10091404-19）語料grep新事實：編劇 Marilyn Fu（《The Sisterhood of Night》）受訪表示，數年前她與 Jean Fang 共同製作了一檔關於 Peggy Hsiao（蕭美琴之母）的廣播節目，稱其「has such an interesting life story」，並說她的人生「definitely very present」於《Sisterhood》之中（TAH 訪談原文）——她的人生故事進入了台灣裔美國人的影視敘事，屬社群影響之直接佐證。
