TAFNC leadership and 台灣會館 (absorbed 2026-09-14, vault-only)

From the Our Journeys accounts already held in the vault:

  • 1994 — served as one of the two vice chairmen (副會長, with 謝鎮寬) of the 北加州台灣同鄉會聯合會 under chairman 林健次, per [[works/taiwaneseamericanhistory-org/ourjourneys142|TAH #142 (林健次, 2015/06)]]. During the internal council dispute that year, the pro-KMT bloc proposed stripping the chairman/vice-chairman votes; the episode is recorded there verbatim.
  • 2003 — as chairman (會長), launched the 台灣會館 fundraising drive at the Spring Festival gala (raised $30,000; preparatory committee formed Feb 16, convened by 張信行), per [[works/taiwaneseamericanhistory-org/ourjourneys38|TAH #38]].
  • Early 2003 — encouraged the founding of the Northern California 台灣會館 and joined its preparatory committee alongside 陳德輝, 石清正, 陳光博, 施天墩, 林典謨, 李華林, 翁嘉盛, 邱俊邦 and 張信行; the 會館 opened in Fremont in March 2003, per [[works/taiwaneseamericanhistory-org/ourjourneys24|TAH #24]] and [[works/taiwaneseamericanhistory-org/ourjourneys53|TAH #53]].
  • 2026-10-11 corpus re-check — the chairman’s own account in [[works/taiwaneseamericanhistory-org/ourjourneys24|TAH #24]] gives the full 籌備委員會 roster as 陳德輝, 石清正, 陳光博, 施天墩, 高淑貞, 林典謨, 張祿生, 李華林, 翁嘉盛, 邱俊邦, 邱光一, 吳振和 and 張信行 (adding 高淑貞, 邱光一 and 吳振和 to the roster as recorded above), and records the 會館 beginning operation on 2003-05-01 with 34 teachers and 30+ volunteers running 40+ activities a month, after the Fremont site (a 3,000 sq-ft clinic floor donated at subsidized rent by 吳怡明醫師, introduced by 吳銀鏤醫師) was secured in March on a two-year lease from April 1.
  • A chairman-era record appears in [[works/taiwaneseamericanhistory-org/ourjourneys110|TAH #110 (張祿生會長)]].
  • 2026-10-12 (DEEPEN-X10120000-5): corpus re-check across works/articles/sources/events/topics — the only hits are the Our Journeys records already absorbed above (#24, #38, #53, #110, #142, plus their English mirrors). The founder account in [[works/taiwaneseamericanhistory-org/ourjourneys53|TAH #53]] lists 張祿生 among the nine who founded the Fremont 台灣會館 in March 2003 (with 張信行, 陳德輝, 邱俊邦, 林典謨, 翁嘉盛, 石清正, 施天墩, 陳光博, 李華林) — consistent with the roster recorded above; no new absorbable facts, no conflicts.

THA-USA presidency and Hakka conferences (absorbed 2026-10-10, corpus-only)

From 王興富, 話說 美洲台灣客家社團 ([[works/taiwaneseamericanhistory-org/ourjourneys110|TAH #110]]):

  • He is listed as the 7th president of the 全美台灣客家會 (THA-USA), based in Northern California — the first dated term record for that presidency on this page (the TAH Who’s Who profile lists the office without a term number).
  • Aug 2000 — co-hosted the 3rd Global Hakka Cultural Summer Conference (第三屆全球客家文化夏令會) in Toronto with 黄春發 (Chun-fa Huang), under the theme “Let’s Work Together to Welcome a New Century for the Hakka People.”

From the Federation memoir ([[works/taiwaneseamericanhistory-org/ourjourneys38|TAH #38]]), the 2003 台灣會館 drive in more detail:

  • Early 2003 — as Federation president he advised the Center planners to start by renting a property funded by a $30,000 drive, sustained for two years while a permanent site was sought, and suggested announcing the Center’s opening at the Federation’s thirtieth-anniversary gala; his encouragement prompted the organizer to gather ten $2,500 pledges within a week. He then joined the Taiwanese American Center Preparation Committee alongside 陳德輝, 石清正, 陳光博, 施天墩, 林典謨, 李華林, 翁嘉盛, 邱俊邦 and 張信行 (Dr. Shinn-Sheng Chang). No conflict with the 2003年春節晚會募捐 record in [[works/taiwaneseamericanhistory-org/ourjourneys37|TAH #37]] (“會長張祿生發起台灣會館募捐”) — both place him as the driving Federation officer that spring.
