- 1982-01-21 convocation roster: 周實’s memoir records that 許英智, as SCTAI vice president, convened the sixteen attendees — 楊嘉猷、黃茂清 (黃茂清)、曾克中、沈英忠、賴佔鰲、羅慕義、曾振輝、林天皓、陳憲治、洪肇奎、許和瑞 (許和瑞)、林邦茂、鄭德和 (鄭德和)、簡金生 (簡金生)、and 周實 himself; the record’s own subject links also place 簡錦標, 吳西面, 許丕龍 and 黃三榮 in the same memoir ( 周實).
- Officer of 南加州台灣同鄉會 (SCTAI): as vice president he convened 16 community members on 1982-01-21 to discuss forming a civic-rights league; he had personally visited the JACL (Japanese American Citizens League) and collected its materials as the reference model. The meeting resolved to create TACL (Taiwanese American Citizens League) as a non-profit and named a six-person 籌備小組 — 楊嘉猷、洪肇奎、周實、曾克中、簡金生 and 許英智 ( 周實). On 1982-03-03, ahead of the follow-up meeting planned for 3-04, he sent a letter withdrawing from the preparations because he was about to take over as 會長 of the 同鄉會, recommending 周實 as 召集人 — the account of a founding-team member (272 英文memoir). HOLD: conflict in the meeting date — 周實’s Chinese memoir says 1982年1月21日, the English memoir rendering says 1/21/81; both retained, no auto-merge.
