The Taiwanese-America Seniors Association of Southern California (TASA) is a community organization founded in 1979 to serve Taiwanese American senior citizens in the greater Los Angeles area. Originally established as the ‘Southern California Taiwanese Elderly Association,’ the organization grew from approximately 100 founding members to over 1,400 members by 1989. TASA developed physical infrastructure for its community, including the construction of the Crane Garden Apartments (鶴園公寓) in El Monte, California, which broke ground in 1987. The organization provides monthly social gatherings, birthday celebrations, recreational activities, and inter-community exchanges for its senior members. It has also pursued elder care initiatives including a proposed day health care center with nutrition services.

- Founding, 1978 preparation → 1979 establishment — per Kenjohn Wang 王桂榮’s memoir [[works/taiwaneseamericanhistory-org/ourjourneys54|TAH #54 海外台灣人第一所老人公寓——鶴園]]（2014/10，英譯 ourjourneys54-eng，摘錄自長輩會 20 週年紀念專刊）：1978 年由來自長老教會與福音堂兩教會的耆老 賴讚阿、蕭華傳 發起籌備，因跨教會協調困難，邀王桂榮居中協調；1979 年 5 月 5 日正式成立，借用洛杉磯福音堂（Evangelical Formosa Church）作為場地，首任會長 陳盟蘭（任內聘長子藥劑師 C. J. Chen 任秘書，引發連任風波，蕭華傳等長老抗議）。經協調確立兩教會輪流選任會長之制，文書移交由長老教會推派的第二任會長 蕭華傳博士 接收。此記錄解釋了上方 1978/1979 之 HOLD：1978 為籌備發起源頭，1979-05-05 為正式成立日，兩說各有語料根據，仍並列不強行合併。
